Starcraft II announced by Blizzard.

Alright all of you Zerg-rushing, siege tank whoring, Dark-Archon fusing bastards...Blizzard has made it official: Stracraft II cometh.



Of course, being Blizzard, Starcraft II coming and Starcraft II actually getting here are two VERY different things.

Multiple videos are now up and available on Blizzard's website as well as some additional videos that can be found on the 'Tube'. These videos feature mainly protoss and terran units, but also showcase a new morphing Zerg unit. The new protoss units include a large, spider looking vehicle that looks like something out of The Animatrix and something like a dual-sabered Protoss unit that can take out siege tanks, AND a unit that can teleport! Terrans have new elite soldiers that can jump around the stage, and the Ghosts were also showcased...bringing the staged battle to an end with 3 simultaneous nuclear drops.

In short, Protoss got a lot of the attention for the announcement. Being mainly a Zerg/Terran kinda guy, I hope they put out some more announcements on the advances that those races will be getting.

Matt will be sure to bring you guys more detailed info, but for now, prepare yourself for the long wait. If the screenshots and vids are any implication of what's around the corner, however, it may be well worth it.
