We smell some bad juju cooking for Sony Computer Entertainment UK.

It seems as though SCE UK commercial director Kevin Jowett has abruptly resigned his post, just five weeks before the PlayStation 3 launch.

He left imediately, according to sources, due to "confidentiality issues".

(I.E. - he was mad about something and voiced his concerns to his superiors, who then in turn paid him a large amount of money to shut up and jump ship.)

Retailers are said to be shocked at the move, with one saying, "The timing is absolutely incredible."

Sony just can't catch a break on the PS3.
